To make the toy, the author used a 2.0 mm hook and YarnArt Jeans yarn. The lion’s legs and body are crocheted as one piece, the arms are attached, and the remaining parts are sewn. The height of the finished crocheted lion is about 12-13 cm. 

Materials Needed: 

YarnArt Jeans semi-cotton yarn (3 shades) 

2.0 mm hook 

6 mm safety eyes 

Black embroidery thread (nose, eyebrows, eyelashes)

Mane 

Start 10 stitches away from each eye. 

Then, working down the row (22 rounds), insert your hook under the stitch.

Rnd 2: Crochet with half double crochets, increasing in each stitch. (2 hdc in one stitch, 3 hdc in the next stitch) * Repeat to the end of the round. The mane will be wavy. 

Rnd 3: Crochet a round without increases (hdc).
